Dragoco and Haarmann & Reimer, which are both based in Holzminden, Sweden have merged under a new name, Symrise. The company now accounts for approximately 11% of the total market volume for flavors and fragrances. Swedish financial in­vestor, Northern Europe Private Equity Funds (EQT), acquired Haarmann & Reimer and minority interest Dragoco in July 2002 with the objective of merging the two companies. EQT holds a majority stake in the new company, Symrise.
